MassMutual Scholars Program
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund administers the MassMutual Scholars Program in partnership with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF).
The MassMutual Scholars Program is funded by the MassMutual Financial Group, and is focused on expanding access and opportunity of higher education and employment to citizens who reflect the rich cultural diversity of our nation. MassMutual seeks to increase the number of minority students completing college nationally and raising awareness of our national agencies and careers in financial services.
The MassMutual Scholars Program is open to students of African-American/Black, Hispanic American and Asian/Pacific Islander American decent whose intended majors are business, finance, management, marketing, sales, economics or financial planning and who reside within the metropolitan areas of Atlanta, GA; Chicago,IL; Central New Jersey; Denver, CO; Houston, TX; Miami, FL; Los Angeles,CA; San Antonio, TX; or San Francisco, CA.
In 2009, the first year of the program, MassMutual provided $60,000 in scholarships to outstanding, eligible students. Three $5,000 scholarships were offered in the metropolitan areas of Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco. In 2010, MassMutual looks forward to assisting full time students entering their sophomore, junior, senior or 5th year senior year of college with over $135,000 in scholarships.
